Role: Cache Database Developer
Location: Wallingford, CT
Job type: Long-term contract

Summary:
The Database Developer/DBA will create and modify computer applications by converting project requirements and specifications into code and will be responsible for analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documenting database applications in both existing and new system modules. Utilizes the InterSystems Caché & Ensemble DBMS IDE’s in conjunction with a “minimal-install” user interface developed in Microsoft .Net/C# to provide a rich suite of application modules that are deployed in both LAN and WAN environments.

Required Skills:
Minimum 5 years prior experience as a database developer
Experience in VB .NET and/or C#
Cache DB required, any .Net related exp. preferred
Strong SQL skills, Object oriented programming
HTML/XML/SOAP/Web Services experience
Full understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong track record of academic and work related achievements
Prior DBA experience
Prior development experience with the InterSystems Caché DBMS environment
Prior healthcare IT experience is desired.
