QA engineer

Role: QA engineer
Location: Portland, OR.
Job type: Contract
 
Responsibilities:
Responsible to work on a project that creates app for drivers and service center operators to help them optimize the work force planning and provide better route evaluation.  
The applications are in Angular JS. Back end is Netezza, Oracle or Microstrategy API.
QA engineer needs to be able to validate the front end apps and also perform backend validation by writing complex SQL queries and also run reports using Microstrategy and parse the results.
The QA engineer will eventually identify automation candidates for these applications and will create them using Selenium/Java framework.


Job expectation:
Work with the SMEs on the team to understand the requirements.
Write very good quality test cases for the font end, back end and reports testing..
Develop automated Angular test scripts using Selenium
Write complex queries to perform back end data validation
Ability to write file parsing routines in a plus, but not needed.
Collaborate with the team (BAs, Developers, PM etc) as needed, to ensure good test coverage.
Raise risks/defects comfortably and escalate as needed
Enter clear defects and triage them.
